What Does Science Say about Anti-Aging? What Can We Do?
It is actually quite simple, but of course, simple does not mean easy.
I am speaking today about scientific literature on slowing down the aging process, or more accurately, thinking and doing different things in regard to aging.
So yes, it starts with our attitude toward aging, as science shows us that if we keep telling ourselves that aging sucks, then aging will be a difficult journey for us.
Let's decide that aging is beautiful and in fact we can do much about enjoying our bodies and minds as we grow more in years (isn't it a better way of saying it?).
We know about diet, exercise, meditations to lower stress hormones and install better thinking patterns (and joyful emotions), and, supplements.
But what kind of supplements?
We have discussed stem cells and their importance in regenerating and shifting our bodies toward health. High levels of polyphenols for anti-inflammation and anti-oxidation are showing in scientific literature to be key to longevity and anti-aging.
This weekend, eat more fruits and veggies, and possibly, consider getting a very high anti oxidant: High ORAC Synbiotic, the highest potency on the market.
For your reading enjoyment, I have chosen an article on exercise and Reactive Oxygen Species and of course, hormesis in aging by Lesmana et al. (2022). Enjoy!
