Together, let’s put an end to deteriorating health

Anger, Depression, Fear, Anxiety. Solution?

We can all agree that the general mood in our nation is of anger and depression, with a sense of great fear and anxiety.

If this mood continues and is sustained by the news, social media, friends, and family, our body will suffer the consequences. Seann has taught that a sustained stress level raises cortisol levels, intensifies inflammation, and is a highway to dis-ease.

The solution that science has been presenting in the past few years is fascinating: a subset of probiotics, called Pyschobiotics, that promises to benefit mental health (Mosquera et al., 2024).

Misra & Mohanty (2019) describe phychobiotics as novel probiotics that increase the right probiotics in the gut and hence lowers cortisol level, curb inflammation, reduces symptoms of depression and anxiety, and lowers stress reactivity (anger, fear etc.).

Pychobiotics emphasize the relationship and axis between Gut ~ Microbiota ~ Brain. These probiotics, as a community (microbiota), communicates with the brain to initiate specific processes that help the mind and the body cope with stress.

We will explore the different areas of research that delve into pychobiotics. The recent research, as you can see in the references, is very impressive. It is important to know that by modulating our microbiota - our whole thrust into mental agitation, fear, and anxiety can be alleviated.

Enjoy!
