Happy Chinese New Year ~ 新年快乐
If you are a fan of Star Trek, you know the Vulcan salutation: "Live long and prosper" and the response back of "Peace and long life."
One of my favorite Chines greeting for the New Year is Happiness and Prosperity: 恭喜发财 / 恭喜發財 - and happiness promotes peace, which then creates prosperity.
That is my prayer for humanity.
2025 is also the year of the wood snake. In the Chinese zodiac, the snake is associated with wisdom, elegance, and transformation. In Western terms it is akin to the phoenix rising from the ashes.
According to the New York Post, the Snake represents complexity, mystery, initiation, and transformation. It also embodies calmness, and we love this important element in our lives.
As the snake sheds the old skin, so can we look forward to a year where we transform and rise like the phoenix, stronger and more loving.
Happy New Year - let's rise together to form a wise, elegant collective.
