Time for Love, Always.
In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul wrote, "let all that you do be done in love" (1 Corinthians 16:14).
All that we do, not just some, or on specific days, but all that we do - is done from love.
I know, it is a tall order, and not easily achieved. To help us think about our actions, Paul intensifies the message in Romans 13:8 - to love is a law: "for he that loves another has fulfilled the law."
Paul repeats and emphasizes the fact that to love one another is the law. "Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law" (Romans 13:10).
Yes, Paul also knows it is a tall order. Love as a law? How can anyone make us love the people we love to hate?
So Paul is direct - and requests that we wake up (13:11). And not just to wake up, but do so now - "that now it is high time to wake out of sleep" (13:11).
My father used to read me stories from the Old Testament; convoluted, high drama, amazing stories of human frailty, bravery, downright stupidity, and cruelty, and yes, of abiding love. Like the best Tele Novella, the drama and lessons captivated me, and also baffeled me.
History may have be different if we had taken the law - love your neighbor as yourself -seriously. We can start today.
I would like to extend myself here and tell you that I love you. At BioImmersion, each step of the way, from sourcing to manufacturing, and shipping the products to you - is done with love.
Happy Valentine Day!
Yours as Always,
Dohrea
